“This is Where the Party Ends”

Louie GohmertLike many liberals I have been righteously indignated over the last week our so as the right wing, especially Fox News, has slobberingly fallen all over themselves in their attempts to out do each other in their worship of anti-government rancher Cliven Bundy. I have argued with Bundy supporters at work, at church, and on the internet.  I have posted to Facebook every anti-Bundy source that I have come across in an attempt to educate, and I will admit it, bait any conservatives who considered him a hero.  This morning I went even more crazy when Bundy’s Racism was exposed in a “Press Conference” that was recorded by the New York Times.

I won’t repeat Bundy’s racist comments here, they have been covered ad infinitum on the internet already, if you have not read them by now, they are easy enough to find.  In fact, I am done with Bundy.  This is going to be my last post on him.  It is time to stop giving him and his ilk the attention that they want so badly and to let them slip into the pages of the wrong side of history where they so rightfully belong.

So I dedicate today’s Hymn of Social Justice to Cliven Bundy as well as Phil Robertson, and those who worship them as heroes.  This is the last thing I will say about them and their supporters:

This is where the party ends
I can’t stand here listening to you
And your racist friend
I know politics bore you
But I feel like a hypocrite talking to you
And your racist friend
